Summer creations should usually provide us with good air circulation. Let's make sure they are airy, loose and comfortable. A particularly important issue in the selection of summer creations is the fabric from which our dress was sewn. Natural fabrics work best in hot heat, and muslin certainly belongs to them.
Properties
Muslin is a very delicate material. It can be woven only from natural fabrics such as silk or cotton. It is characterized primarily by its lightness, which makes it an ideal material for the summer. Our skin breathes thanks to it and we feel like we are surrounded by a gentle mist and although it is very light it is also extremely durable. Muslin fibers have thermal insulation properties, ensuring adequate airflow and protect against overheating. Muslin keeps the temperature lower by a few degrees than the outside temperature, bringing relief. Its thermoregulatory properties make this fabric suitable for both summer and winter.
use
Muslin has many uses. As it is an ideal fabric for summer, we encourage you to sew dresses, tunics, blouses or skirts, of course. You can also use it as an add-on. For example, with a purse or as a shawl. There are many options!
Muslin Washing
This material does not respond to repeated washing. Perhaps it's even getting softer. Especially when it comes to cotton muslin. We wash it in a washing machine at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Do not dry it mechanically.
